(Ula 4:24) Allah memperkenalkan diriNya kepada bangsa Israel bahwa Ia adalah Api yang menghanguskan. Tidak hanya di perjanjian lama, di perjanjian baru juga ditegaskan kembali hal ini (Ibr 12:28-29). Karena Allah adalah Api yang menghanguskan, kita janganlah bermain api. Api selalu menghanguskan apapun yang diberikan kepadanya.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

(Imamat 9:24) Waktu para imam akan diurapi, mereka harus disucikan dari segala dosa, dengan mempersembahkan korban. Korban-korban itu dibakar habis dan imam-imam dikuduskan dan ditahbiskan menjadi imam.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

(Wah 3:18) Saat emas dimasukkan ke dalam api, dengan ukuran yang tepat api akan menghanguskan unsur-unsur lain selain emas sehingga emas akan dimurnikan. Kita harus memberikan hidup kita kepada Allah seperti emas yang akan dimurnikan dan menjadi lebih mulia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

(Gal 6:7) Waktu Yesus menebus kita di kayu salib, Ia telah menerima konsekwensi dari dosa kita. Yesus dihanguskan karena dosa-dosa kita. Kita dimurnikan dengan pengorbanan Yesus. Namun janganlah sesat, apa yang ditabur itulah yang akan dituai. Allah tidak akan membiarkan diriNya dipermainkan. Saat Allah menebus kita, Ia rindu untuk diam di dalam kita selama-lamanya. Janganlah hanya datang kepada Tuhan saat kita memerlukan berkatNya saja. Ia mau kita bertumbuh.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tuhan akan menolong kita apabila kita datang kepadaNya dengan kerinduan agar Ia membakar untuk memurnikan kita. Apabila setelah sekian lama kita bertobat, masih ada dosa dalam kehidupan kita, segeralah datang kepadaNya dan bertobat. Ia akan menghanguskan dosa-dosa kita dan memurnikan kita seperti emas. Janganlah kita mempermainkan Tuhan, Ia ingin kita bertumbuh.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
