(Kol 3:14-15) Kenakanlah kasih (agape) sebagai pengikat yang mempersatukan dan menyempurnakan. Keluarga adalah skup terkecil dari gereja. Tujuan setiap keluarga bagi Allah ialah menjadi satu tubuh Kristus<\/p>\n\n\n\n

(Efesus 5:22-24) Kepada para istri, firman Tuhan meminta para istri untuk tunduk kepada suami. Surat Efesus ditulis oleh Paulus. (1 Pet 3:1-6) Dengan ilham Roh yang sama, rasul Petrus juga menulis perintah yang sama. Lebih jauh lagi Petrus menulis, dengan taat kepada firman Tuhan, para istri dapat memenangkan iman suaminya dengan perbuatan, bukan perkataan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bila kita mengganggap Allah sebagai Kurios \/ Tuhan dalam hidup kita, perilaku kita di tengah keluarga harus tercermin. Kita adalah anak-anak Abraham, oleh karena itu kita juga adalah anak-anak Sarah. Teladan Sarah yang tunduk kepada Abraham harus menjadi pedoman kita semua. Seperti Allah yang memberkati Sarah dan keluarga Abraham, Allah juga kana memberkati keluarga melalui istri yang taat kepada firman Tuhan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

(Efe 5:25-30) Para suami harus mengasihi istrinya, sama seperti Kristus mengasihi jemaat.(1 Pet 3:7) Istri adalah teman pewaris Kasih karunia Allah. Kasihilah istri agar doa para suami tidak terhalang. Ayat 30: kita adalah bagian tubuhNYA.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

(1 Kor 7:12-14) Bagi pasangan yang terlanjur menikah dengan pasangan yang tidak seiman\/seimbang, anak-anak Tuhan tidak perlu menceraikan pasangannya. Pasangan yang tidak seiman akan dikuduskan oleh pasangannya dan anak-anak mereka menjadi anak-anak yang kudus. Bawalah anak-anak kita kepada Tuhan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

(Efe 6:1-3) Bagi anak-anak hormatilah orang tuamu supaya engkau berbahagia dan panjang umurmu (Luk 2:51-52) Yesus sendiri yang adalah Tuhan tetap menghormati orang tuanya sebagai manusia. Dan kita dapat melakukan hal yang sama seperti Yesus, bahkan lebih (Yoh 14:12).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

(Efe 6:4) Para orang tua janganlah timbulkan amarah di hati anak-anak kita. Tapi didiklah mereka di dalam ajaran dan nasihat Tuhan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
